Introducing Dreadnought – The Ultimate Shaving Experience For Real Men!

So, here’s the deal.  You are not the newest British royal, who will no doubt be subject to a life of pampering and having your beautiful alabaster skin shaved for you by someone called a “valet” that spent twenty years learning how to do it properly.  However, neither are you a pirate, allowed total disregard for the rough stubble your face produces as a result of…let’s face it…being the manly man you are.  That being said, it’s important to find a happy medium that allows you a smooth, bump-free shave while incorporating products and accessories that are considered investments rather than disposable plastic.dreadnought 2

For some time, marketers have been trying to sell us guys on razors that vibrate, have bright rubber grips, or that boast a ridiculous number of blades on one head.  Chances are you bought them—I did.  Chances are you still dreaded the shave—I did.  As a type of cultural pushback, men of a discerning taste are moving more toward the purchase of traditional grooming accessories, understanding that the old way may be the best way.

There are a number of retailers out there that can offer you the types of product that harken back to a more distinctive time and offer superior product lines to what you’ll find in most big-box stores.  But beware: just because it’s a straight razor covered in shiny chrome and shaving cream in an overpriced tin doesn’t mean it’s what you are looking for.  Shop around and compare reviews.  Dreadnought, a British brand, offers a full line of quality men’s shaving accessories at reasonable prices. The shaving cream won the about.com best of award this year, so I decided to give it a go.  As it turns out, it does in fact live up to the hype.  I have become a loyal customer. The products do what they say they do, last a long time and have a smell that is inviting rather than overwhelming.

The point is, do your research and put some money into your face.  You’re not in college, and you don’t use Axe body spray.  So why should you place metal and foam against your face that doesn’t do what you need it to just because it costs $20 for a dozen and $5 for a can?  Answer:  You don’t.

Dreadnought products can be found online at The Gents Store or in the club nearest you!
